Hi, This package fails to build a source package after a successful build (dpkg-buildpackage ; dpkg-buildpackage -S). This is probably a clear violation of Debian Policy section 4.9 (clean target), but this is filed as severity:minor for now, because a discussion on debian-devel showed that we might want to revisit the requirement of a working 'clean' target. More information about this class of issues, included common problems and solutions, is available at https://wiki.debian.org/qa.debian.org/FTBFS/SourceAfterBuild Relevant part of the build log: > cd /<<PKGBUILDDIR>> && runuser -u user42 -- dpkg-buildpackage --sanitize-env > -us -uc -rfakeroot -S > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > dpkg-buildpackage: info: source package dvdauthor > dpkg-buildpackage: info: source version 0.7.2-2 > dpkg-buildpackage: info: source distribution unstable > dpkg-buildpackage: info: source changed by Marc Leeman <[email protected]> > dpkg-source --before-build . > debian/rules clean > make: 'clean' is up to date. > dpkg-source -b . > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: debian/dvdauthor/usr/bin/dvdauthor > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: debian/dvdauthor/usr/bin/spuunmux > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: debian/dvdauthor/usr/bin/spumux > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: debian/dvdauthor/usr/bin/mpeg2desc > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: debian/dvdauthor/usr/bin/dvdunauthor > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: > debian/dvdauthor/usr/share/man/man1/dvdauthor.1.gz > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: > debian/dvdauthor/usr/share/man/man1/dvddirdel.1.gz > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: > debian/dvdauthor/usr/share/man/man1/mpeg2desc.1.gz > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: > debian/dvdauthor/usr/share/man/man1/dvdunauthor.1.gz > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: > debian/dvdauthor/usr/share/man/man1/spumux.1.gz > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: > debian/dvdauthor/usr/share/man/man1/spuunmux.1.gz > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: > debian/dvdauthor/usr/share/man/man7/video_format.7.gz > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: > debian/dvdauthor/usr/share/doc/dvdauthor/changelog.Debian.gz > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: > debian/dvdauthor/usr/share/doc/dvdauthor/changelog.gz > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: > debian/.debhelper/dvdauthor/dbgsym-root/usr/lib/debug/.build-id/df/79f89269b72e7b0b9cbf8d440d913b87cb789f.debug > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: > debian/.debhelper/dvdauthor/dbgsym-root/usr/lib/debug/.build-id/64/11d642af9480c173bc16ce93ff3fea32d450a1.debug > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: > debian/.debhelper/dvdauthor/dbgsym-root/usr/lib/debug/.build-id/ef/9ea3a040714ca697778370602b2b3022247044.debug > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: > debian/.debhelper/dvdauthor/dbgsym-root/usr/lib/debug/.build-id/b0/7052f9b94286d8033d45b7a5d926246f7917f0.debug > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: > debian/.debhelper/dvdauthor/dbgsym-root/usr/lib/debug/.build-id/3e/2bcbbcdac1128ea982a8c0a6ef7b5d9ec985ac.debug > dpkg-source: error: unwanted binary file: > debian/.debhelper/dvdauthor/dbgsym-root/usr/lib/debug/.dwz/x86_64-linux-gnu/dvdauthor.debug > dpkg-source: error: detected 20 unwanted binary files (add them in > debian/source/include-binaries to allow their inclusion). > dpkg-source: info: using source format '3.0 (quilt)' > dpkg-buildpackage: error: dpkg-source -b . subprocess returned exit status 255 > > E: Command 'cd /<<PKGBUILDDIR>> && runuser -u user42 -- dpkg-buildpackage > --sanitize-env -us -uc -rfakeroot -S' failed to run. See https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control#affects If you fail to reproduce this, please provide a build log and diff it with mine so that we can identify if something relevant changed in the meantime.
