The new version of rust-multihash depends on the core2 crate which is
not currently in debian. Nor does anyone appear to be working on
packaging it

Sometimes maintaining a package involves packaging new dependencies.

Do the Rust team have an interest in maintaining rust-multihash?
Otherwise please say so, and I will consider adopting it.

I have prepared the update but it depends on parity-scale-codec-derive and parity-scale-codec in NEW. Will push it once they are in unstable.
