Severity -1 wishlist

this is only partly true, because there is a "-- more --" marker in the
statusbar when someone wrote something after you left that window. But indeed,
this doesn't appear when noone wrote something in the meantime.

Short hint, looking at the timestamps might help with that. Personally I also
tab-complete the person who asked something to avoid people who left in the
meantime to work around this a tiny bit.

That's intended behavior, and helpful at a lot of times, so it won't get
changed I'm afraid.

It is something that can be tweaked through usage of scripts though. I'm not
aware of one that directly scrolls to the end on window switching, but that
should be rather trivial to hack together.

Personally I love using the "trackbar" script which gives me an indication on
where the last chat message was when I last was in said window, and is
extremely helpful in partly fast-paced channels to find the point where you
left off reading.

The sb_position script though might though be what you want:

To assist you installing said script:
/script load scriptassist

 To actually download it:
/scriptassist install sb_position

To make it visible in the statusbar (see /help statusbar for positioning info):
/statusbar window add position

If you like it, make it auto load:
/scriptassist autorun sb_position

I hope that gets you started with your last suggestion, and that this approach
might make you happy enough to close this wishlist bug yourself. :)

 Cheers,
Rhonda
