In version .67 it is kind of the same, except "lack of series file" is now put in "error" category, not "nothing to do". The debhelper quilt addon was wrongfully changed to to succeed with error code 0 or 1 in https://salsa.debian.org/debian/quilt/-/commit/ 765d2587ee912cb909d275af62d019b2e7fb0dfc That change should be reverted. Instead, quilt patch/unpatch should only be run if series file exists.
