Package: auctex Version: 12.2-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
I intend to salvage that package as a member of the Debian TeX team and to put it into team maintenance. I contacted Davide G. M. Salvetti two times [1] and offered a co-maintenance, but did not get a response. The criteria directly copied from "5.12.1. When a package is eligible for package salvaging?" - Bugs filed against the package do not have answers from the maintainer. There are a few. - Upstream has released several versions, but despite there being a bug entry asking for it, it has not been packaged. https://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=auctex.git&view=view+git+repository 6 months ago release_13_2 | commit | shortlog | log 20 months ago release_13_1 | commit | shortlog | log 3 years ago release_12_3 | commit | shortlog | log 2 Bugs requesting packaging. - There are QA issues with the package. Currently there is #1052909 (FTBFS bug) open since September w/o response until now.
