Package: gnome-terminal Version: 3.50.1-1 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: j...@joshtriplett.org
`gnome-terminal --help-all` says: > --tab Open a new tab in the last-opened window with > the default profile This used to work; `gnome-terminal --tab` would open a tab in the last-opened window. However, it no longer works except when launched from the terminal in question. If you use `gnome-terminal --tab` from the Run dialog (Alt+F2), or from a keyboard shortcut, it now opens a new window, rather than a tab in the existing window. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: arm64 Kernel: Linux 6.5.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages gnome-terminal depends on: ii dbus-user-session [default-dbus-session-bus] 1.14.10-3 ii dconf-gsettings-backend [gsettings-backend] 0.40.0-4 ii gnome-terminal-data 3.50.1-1 ii gsettings-desktop-schemas 45.0-2 ii libatk1.0-0 2.50.0-1 ii libc6 2.37-12 ii libgcc-s1 13.2.0-7 ii libglib2.0-0 2.78.1-4 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.38-6 ii libhandy-1-0 1.8.2-3 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.51.0+ds-3 ii libstdc++6 13.2.0-7 ii libuuid1 2.39.2-6 ii libvte-2.91-0 0.74.1-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.8.7-1 Versions of packages gnome-terminal recommends: ii gvfs 1.52.1-1 pn nautilus-extension-gnome-terminal <none> ii yelp 42.2-1 gnome-terminal suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
