Package: gconf Version: 1.0.9-7.1 Severity: minor remaxp:~# ls -ld ~/.gconf drwx------ 2 root root 1024 2006-05-28 12:42 /root/.gconf
and in the logs I see:
May 28 12:42:30 remaxp gconfd (root-18738): Die Adresse
+»xml:readwrite:/root/.gconf« wurde an der Position 1 zu einer
schreibbaren
+Konfigurationsquelle aufgelöst
(In english, roughly:
The address "xml:readwrite:/root/.gconf" was resolved at position 1
to a writable configuration source)
this happend probably at the time I was upgrading gconf. The directory
is empty, btw.
Debian-updates should *never* touch files within anyones home
directory, especially root, unless authorized otherwise. Since this
was only creating (or touching, maybe it was created earlier) an empty
directory, I used "minor" here as severity.
Btw. I only use textmode apps as root and try to minimize root action,
and such a directory could lead to a suspicious look if found on
system maintenance.
