Package: dnsmasq
Version: 2.89-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Trying to launch EFI netboot images on clients using working described method : https://wiki.debian.org/PXEBootInstall#Simple_way_-_using_Dnsmasq but with Dnsmasq set as a proxy of another DCHP server.

The described method works as expected if Dnsmasq is set as a real DHCP server. But if we use Dnsmasq as a DHCP proxy server it won't work for EFI images (it works for BIOS images).

If you replace the line " dhcp-range=192.168.0.3,192.168.0.253,255.255.255.0,1h "

with " dhcp-range=192.168.0.0,proxy,255.255.255.0 ", the Grub install menu is not prompted for EFI images (it is for classical Bios images on older targets but not for EFI images).

Actual results :

Instead of a Grub Install menu, an empty black grub shell is prompted.

Expected results :

A Grub Install menu is prompted for EFI netboot images, as it is when Dnsmasq is a real DHCP server and not a proxy.
