The tape drive is set to variable block size (both 'mt setblk 0' and 'mt defblksize 0' were called on the tape device). amlabel also receives similar errors when trying to read or verify the tape label, but also works in 2.4.4p3. The tapes are Exabyte Mammoth tapes, used in an Exabyte EXB-480 carousel. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-686-smp Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages amanda-server depends on: ii amanda-common 1:2.5.0-2 Advanced Maryland Automatic Networ ii libc6 2.3.6-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libncurses5 5.5-2 Shared libraries for terminal hand ii mailx 1:8.1.2-0.20050715cvs-1 A simple mail user agent amanda-server recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
