so lircd gets terminated despite everything being just fine. that's because the service type is specified as "notify", but clearly the daemon doesn't actually send a readiness notification. that's probably either because lirc was built without systemd support against intentions (missing build-dep?), or because it doesn't actually have support for systemd in the first place, and the service type should be "simple" (or maybe "exec", but nobody seems to use that).
Please try newer version, yes the systemd support was accidentally dropped G.
