It would be good if /etc/issue set the window title appropriately.
While it might sound wrong (as /etc/issue is used only for local terminals),
serial consoles do count as local. Thus, the output may hit either a real
console which since Linux 3.16 ignores these sequences, or a terminal
emulator.
Hello. I don't see this very useful because normally when you have a serial
console
you have only one of it (so there is usually no need to differentiate between
them).
Simple question: I don't have a serial console myself. Is this a change for
which the
effects can be seen when using virtual machines in the cloud? (Let's say,
Hetzner,
GCP, Linode, Digital Ocean, etc).
