Hi, Thanks for the quick reply. I had only read the first few entries in #885414 and assumed from the dates that it wasn't making progress. Now I read to the end, I see it is active, and that using run-parts does seem like it will cover this. Great! I saw in #604918 that /etc/profile is deliberately not treated as a conffile. Is there any way to get the new version installed on package upgrade, other than an external configuration management system such as Ansible? Cheers, Dave
