I mostly agree, however the haskell testsuit runs very fast and I believe it's also run in some kind of isolated environment (I inherited the testsuite from previous maintainer, so I'm not 100% sure about the isolation). I'm fine with converting the testsuite in perl and/or shell but this is time consuming for very little gain, so it's low priority for me compared to other issues, not sure if/when it will happen. If for someone this is urgent, I'm certainly going to review patches for a testsuite in perl/shell; just make sure the test results are not dependant on the system where the testsuite is run - it has to work in your development system but also in a container like salsa autopkgtest with consistent results. Tagging help in case someone wants to provide patches. Best, Lorenzo > > Thanks, > > -- > Plasma > >
