trofast:~/wmtest# montage -font fixed -label '%f' *.jpg test.gif montage: unable to read font `fixed'. trofast:~/wmtest# montage -font courier -label '%f' *.jpg test.gif This was introduced somewhere between 6:6.2.3.6-3 and 6:6.2.4.5-0.1, as downgrading imagemagick and libmagick9 to 6:6.2.3.6-3 fixes the problem.
