Package: foomatic-db Version: 20060530-1 Severity: normal Since the foomatic package changelog suggested reinstalling the printer PPDs, I set out to do so. Building the driver database produced a lot of errors. In the KDE shell, got several "unable to create databse" error boxes and the console then showed numerous incorrect entries.
A database adequate for my needs did arise in the end but I would suspect that others may be left out by those incorrect entries and failed items. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (650, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-davidb Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) foomatic-db depends on no packages.
