I'm working on doing a bit of cleanup in the bug reports for smokeping
and yours has not been addressed for the last 10 years, which is sad.
Do you still use smokeping on debian? and if so, are you still
experiencing the same issue?
If you're still having the issue, could you give a bit more information
about the certificate used on the "master" server? was it self-signed or
a certificate issued by one of the vendors in the SSL cert cartel, or
maybe by Let's Encrypt?
Also, do you have special configuration in smokeping to use ssl between
the hosts? I'm rather unfamiliar with this setup and from what I can
find in a quick search, there aren't very concrete examples for how to
set that up, so it's hard for me to try and reproduce your bug.
