The actual problem happens with buildah 1.33.7+ds1-1 on Ubuntu 24.04 Noble which comes with the same version as sid.

Just to clarify: the bug report lists Jammy as system (which comes with
an older version of buildah). However, I used that machine only to
report the bug.
