A.

The lintian warnings emitted for pandoc documentation conversation are as you
say well known due to the age of the pandoc package in Debian and its need to be
updated. These warnings can be safely ignored and should not block this package
from being uploaded into Debian.

I supply a link below to a bug report that is requesting an update of the pandoc
package. People may wish to add notes also wishing it to be updated and also
subscribe to the bug and follow any progress.

B. 'debian/watch'

This is a conversation piece. Mentors reports via checks that 'A watch file is
present but doesn't work'. Would it be better for the package to have no watch
file and it be reported as that and have an explanation in the README.debian of
why it is this way, which you generally have already? Just something to think
upon for a future upload.

I believe this package is now ready for sponsorship/upload. Could a Debian
Developer (DD) with available free time, please review this package and upload
if you feel it is ready and appropriate for the distribution.

Regards

Phil
