Bug#1073918: Multitouch gestures does not work.

Working with the opencpn package we have discovered that multitouch 
gestures does not work using the wxWidgets package[1]

However, the gestures do work when using Wayland and EGL. This has been 
shown using locally built wxWidgets packages without the Debian patch 
and also without --disable-glcanvasegl. So the solution is basically
