I still have use cases in tightly controlled LAN environments where raw transfer speed vs. useless CPU cycle burning for encryption is sought after. Also, there is sometimes compatibility needed to older IBM operating systems in the Midrange/Mainframe environment but with a current Linux base. Pity that those niches are not enough to keep r* commands alive. Just my $.02. :wq! PoC
