Hi, Colin, this is just to fill a bug for BTS tracking, I'm aware that you know, and we agreed to just fix it along when updating to 9.8. The following vulnerability was published for openssh. CVE-2024-39894[0]: | OpenSSH 9.5 through 9.7 before 9.8 sometimes allows timing attacks | against echo-off password entry (e.g., for su and Sudo) because of | an ObscureKeystrokeTiming logic error. Similarly, other timing | attacks against keystroke entry could occur. If you fix the vulnerability please also make sure to include the CVE (Common Vulnerabilities & Exposures) id in your changelog entry.
