Done. Unfortunately I did not manage to close one of the open bugs.
I've pushed the packaging to the latest packaging standards, fixed two
lintian errors and uploaded with Vcs fields set. I also invited you to
the Debian Science team to enable you access to the Git repository[1].
I finally realised I made a cut-n-pasto and since it was some seconds
to late to remove the upload I fixed the Vcs field in another upload
and for my own punishment I went on to migrate debian/rules to dh
and fixed some other issues that remained unfixed.
