Thanks for the patience. I had not noticed the 0444 mode stunt that
cpuid upstream pulled in addition to the previous problem.
This time, I did a full build of `cpuid` with a minimal `debputy`
conversion end to end, so there should not be any more surprises for you
in a minimal conversion after the next upload.
