Right, it can either be a bug in vim-latexsuite or in your configuration. To decide upon the two I suggest you to start vim with -u /etc/vim/vimrc (it will load only system wide configuration, but not the stuff in your home directory). If the bug is still there then it is probably a bug in vim-latexsuite. If it is not then it is probably something in your configuration. [ Of course here I'm assuming an unmodified /etc/vim/vimrc ]. Please reassign the bug to vim-latexsuite or close as appropriate.
