directfb has been orphaned in Debian since 2018, but for now it is still
considered a key package because links2 (among others) build-depends
on it.
If DirectFB support is considered to be an essential part of links2,
please adopt the directfb package and fix its RC bugs.
Or, if the links2 maintainers are not interested in adopting directfb,
please consider disabling the DirectFB backend and removing the
build-dependency. If I'm reading correctly, that would leave X11 as the
only surviving graphics implementation, which would mean that links2 would
be an ordinary X11 app like xterm, in which case #322995 and #638383 could
also be closed by that change.
