When I created the repo, I tried to have all previous versions being
included in this branch. I remembered it was not that easy, but did I do
something wrong?

The Salsa repo should be synced with what has been done upstreamed in
this GitHub repository:

  https://github.com/multipath-tcp/mptcpd

There are 12 versions, a few hundreds of commits (because it was decided
to squash the history per topic). But everything is there, including the
tarballs.

Should I join you on IRC / Matrix to discuss that?
