New upstream release fixes this. That release depends on ‘semver’ >= 3.0 which is newer than the version currently in Debian. See bug#1081140. The build system upstream now has a transitory dependency on Python ‘semver’ >= 3.0. In Debian today, the latest ‘python3-semver’ package release is 2.10.2, which is incompatible with what this package upstream needs.
