Also my printer (Espon Stylus 640) stopped working. There is no error message in the logs. (Just "backend failed with status 1") I did not change the configuration. Adding the printer also failed, it is mis-detected as both CANON and EPSON on the same parallel port. However, even if adding the printer with manually selecting the ppd file, this won't help....
