Package: ntp Version: 4.2.0a+stable-2sarge1 ntp < 4.2.2 binds to an IPv6 wildcard socket and does not catch the destination address of a received query correctly. Thus, replies are always sent with the local address of the egress interface which does not necessarily match the address the client queried. In this case answers are discarded by the client.
This bug (and many others) was fixed in 4.2.2 upstream, so an update of the ntpd in Debian would be really appreciated. Regards, Bernhard -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
