Hi Martin-Éric, TL;DR: one issue is fixed in VCS and waiting for upload, I plan to work on another issue if lazy-regex's maintainer doesn't beat me on timing, a third issue is best dealt with by ognibuild's maintainer, who is its upstream too. I can only speak for the dependencies, but please note that, currently, ognibuild is failing autopkgtests for unrelated reasons [1], so fixing the deps will likely not be sufficient to unblock migration. I'll leave it to its maintainer, Jelmer Vernooij (in cc), to dig into this, since he's upstream too and knows the codebase better than me. ognibuild is part of the lazy-regex transition, on which I worked on behalf of the Rust Team. There are two issues with regards to lazy-regex. The first one is that, due to Bug#1085942, ognibuild does not correctly pick up the dependency on lazy-regex despite declaring its compatibility with v3, which already is in unstable. I've already fixed this issue in VCS [2], where it's waiting for upload. Judging from VCS's d/changelog, Jelmer intends to upload a new upstream version soon, so I asked my sponsor to refrain from doing so himself. The second issue is rust-lazy-regex currently fails autopkgtests due to changes introduced by the latest upstream release, thus blocking migration of ognibuild even if the two issues above were fixed. I was planning to look into these failures to help Jonas -- the maintainer of lazy-regex, in cc -- unblock the transition, unless he beats me on timing. Cheers!
