It is unfortunate that we still suffer from https://bugs.debian.org/788791 . People will need to log out and log back in for their fonts to display correctly after updating this font.
I installed the font on Debian Testing and things looked fine to me after I logged out and logged back in. I think you could proceed with uploading this font update to Debian Unstable/Testing now. Thank you, Jeremy Bícha
