Dear Maintainer, I'm booting Debian Root on iSCSI via iBFT / iscsi_auto, which was setup by iPXE sanboot. Currently it drops into initramfs prompt. The /run/initramfs/initramfs.debug logs show > iscsistart: version 2.1.11 > iscsistart: Could not make /var/lib/iscsi 2 > iscsistart: exiting due to idbm configuration error If I add `mkdir /var/lib` here it boots succesfully https://salsa.debian.org/linux-blocks-team/open-iscsi/-/blob/b096c46eec0d16e50934f9973a237616ec8451d1/debian/extra/initramfs/local-top/iscsi#L254 -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.12.21-amd64 (SMP w/32 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US.UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages open-iscsi depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.91 ii init-system-helpers 1.68 ii libc6 2.41-7 ii libisns0t64 0.101-1+b1 ii libkmod2 34.2-1 ii libmount1 2.41-4 ii libopeniscsiusr 2.1.11-1 ii libssl3t64 3.5.0-1 ii libsystemd0 257.5-2 ii udev 257.5-2 Versions of packages open-iscsi recommends: ii busybox 1:1.37.0-4 open-iscsi suggests no packages. -- debconf information excluded
