To the followers of this bug, and Aurelien. This bug is reproducible in the KDE Live ISOs in Debian. This is a serious functionality bug, because it renders the ability to configure Kicker (not kickoff) completely inoperable. After tracing back what could have caused this, the only thing that makes any sense is that it is a version mismatch between the version of plasma-desktop-data and the rest of KDE.
With Trixie's release imminent, I admit this is beginning to scare me, because many users rely on this particular plasmoid. -John Faulk
