Hi,
we as the debian and upstream maintainers of FRR have been approached by
RTRLIB upstream maintainers with worries about the status of the librtr
package in Debian. A new upstream version will be released soon (1.0.0;
with api/abi bumps) and given the central role of librtr within frr as
well as its tight coupling, we share that worry as well.
Given the above, the fact that frr is the only package in Debian
using/depending on librtr and that the last upload of the current
maintainer is from 2021 and they seem to be generally inactive on all
their other packages as well, we intend to salvage librtr and maintain
it within the frr umbrella.
