The config screen with accept rotate interval in minutes that are less than 1 and store them as 0 in the configuration. When this happens the wallpaper is changed so rapidly, that it is impossible to change the setting back again, as the notification area icon is not available for selecting in time. The workaround is to install gconf-editor, and reset the value to 1 or greater.
