Hello Andreas, thanks for your report. I figured out the version in trixie actually can be fixed to work with Chromium/v3 manifest. I uploaded a fixed package for unstable recently in first place and have a fix for trixie prepared and tested on my computer. I'll see if I get that approved for trixie proposed-updates.
