gdm fails to load since uprading libmozjs-140-0 to 140.6.0-1+b1. Only black text terminal screen is shown with a cursor on the upper left corner. I can switch to another tty as usual. I found the following in my journalctl output: Starting [email protected] - GNOME Shell on Wayland... /usr/bin/gnome-shell: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/aarch64-linux-gnu/libgjs.so.0: undefined symbol: __aarch64_ldadd4_acq_rel, version mozjs_140 [email protected]: Main process exited, code=exited, status=127/n/a [email protected]: Failed with result 'exit-code'. Failed to start [email protected] - GNOME Shell on Wayland. [email protected]: Triggering OnFailure= dependencies. org.gnome.Shell-disable-extensions.service - Disable GNOME Shell extensions after failure was skipped because of an unmet condition check (ConditionPathExists=/run/user/60582/gnome-shell-disable-extensions). the problem appeared with libmozjs-140-0 140.6.0-1+b1. Downgrading libmozjs-140-0 to version 140.6.0-1 makes gdm3 show up again. Filing this as RC because it makes the system unusable for most users. Thanks! cheers, josch
