Dear Maintainer, The official nvidia dkms kernel module is failing to build with a segfault with binutils 2.45.50.20260119-1 (at least on amd64 arch). I tested and it is reproducible on (at least) the following driver versions : 580.126.09, 590.44.01, 590.48.01. Build logs do not provide much more information than that. Downgrading to testing version of binutils (2.45.50.20251209-1+b1) solved the issue. I do believe (with not much confidence) that the issue is related to ld. I am aware that the nvidia drivers packaged by nvidia are not officially supported by debian, but I think this bug report can at least be useful for people encountering the same issue.
