Dear Bastian,

I tried to reach the upstream for co-maintaining, but with no success.

I can work on fuse3 port for jmtpfs, considering the popcorn.

And can fork it to project oss revival for long term maintenance.

Attached for reference I sent this email in December.

Kind regards,
Syed Shahrukh Hussain.

Dear Jason,

I am reaching you for jmtpfs for long term maintenance.

Present maintenance is primarily handled through package patches on Debian.

The package has a decent user base(
https://qa.debian.org/popcon.php?package=jmtpfs) on Debian, not counting
Debian derivatives and is about to be removed.

https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/jmtpfs

So I am suggesting jmtpfs maintenance under the Project oss revival to
materialize the future of jmtpfs.

I need your opinion in this regard.

Thanks,
Syed Shahrukh Hussain.
