sffview allows viewing "Structured Fax Files". As far as I'm aware, it's the only package in Debian which can do this (sff2bmp can convert them to other image formats, but that is in a similar position and I'm intending to RM that too). I've never actually have a need to read SFF files myself - I adopted the package in 2011 after QA uploading it during a wxWidgets transition, mostly because upstream was particular helpful and it seemed low effort to maintain. Upstream has since archived their SFF projects. It feels unhelpful to remove the only packages which can read a format, but fax is a long obsolete technology and the popcon graph reflects that - from a high of ~80 we're down to 13 installs, all old (and one is me, and I don't actually use it): https://qa.debian.org/popcon.php?package=sffview If someone's keen to step in and maintain it, I've no objections (it just seems very unlikely anyone actually has a need for this now). Cheers, Olly
