Thanks for the heads up.

Actually I consider this as a bug in the Debian packaging, because
optimization flags are supposed to be taken from dpkg-buildflags. This
is actually the case for most architectures, but on ppc64el the -O3
flag is indeed taken from upstream build system, and this should
ideally be changed.
