Hi, I actually think removing all hacky dbus handling code is the way forward. (I think we gain nothing by having such split package.)
Isn't it better? Unless someone strongly object with reasonable offer solid solution, I may upload such upload. I never liked such shell dbus code. Then problem solved for multiple install case with annoyng non-deterministic behavior. I was checking several non-GNOME DEs recent situation. (I use GNOME) That's the reason for my slow action. My point is: please don't use serious bug to get attention. BY the way, I hear next Ubuntu will be Wayland only? Is there similar move on Debian?
