Hello Till and Thorsten, after several days of hard work, I have now generated several up-to-date versions of hplip with updated functionality and fixes for bugs in the GUI and in hp-check. To distinguish them from the official (upstream) version, my version numbers start with 4:
hplip 4.25.9:
- All existing Debian patches are in this release.
- Remove code for python2.
hplip 4.26.1:
- Remove code for qt3 support.
- Remove code for ImageProcessor.
- Modernize and reduce distros.dat file.
hplip 4.26.2:
- Remove code for qt4 suppport.
- Remove code for hpijs support.
For each versions I have made a patch archive, too. And until now there
are packages for Debian Bookworm and Trixie.
