Package: libglide2 Severity: important
I've recently ugraded an old AMD K6-2 computer from woody to sarge. It has a Voodoo 2 card that was working on woody. I've recompiled the device3dfx module for the new kernel. Every time I start a glide2 program, it gives "Segmentation fault", the screen goes black and the computer needs to be rebooted. An easy way to test it is by using the demo programs that comes with the package glide2-bin. For example, executing this in sarge produces a crash: /usr/lib/glide2/bin/test00 Trying to isolate the problem, I've copied the old file libglide_cvg.so.2.53 from woody libglide2 package (libglide2-2001.01.26-1.1) over the one installed with sarge, located on /usr/lib/glide2/libglide_cvg.so.2.53. When using the old library, everything does work again without any segmentation fault. It appears to be some problem with recent libglide2. I can confirm that the problem still exists with libglide2 from testing and unstable. I can perform tests with other versions if you want. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
