We booted our eduVPN test servers into 6.12.88-1 and I can connect from all my clients, including an unmodified Trixie installation with 6.12.88-1 running. We will see more tomorrow when the production servers are upgraded and traffic rolls in, but right now this is unreproducible for me (and I cannot see anything in the changelog that might affect OpenVPN).
