* Package name : nghdl Version : 1.0.0 Upstream Author : Sumanto Kar <[email protected]> * URL : https://esim.fossee.in/downloads * License : GPL-v3 Programming Lang: Python, C++ Description : Mixed Signal Simulator: Ngspice+GHDL+Verilator NGHDL is a mixed-signal simulation framework that integrates Ngspice, GHDL, and Verilator to enable co-simulation of analog and digital circuits. It combines the capabilities of Ngspice (with XSPICE extensions) for analog and mixed-signal simulation, GHDL for VHDL-based digital simulation, and Verilator for high-performance Verilog/SystemVerilog simulation. NGHDL allows seamless interaction between analog and digital domains within a single simulation environment. This package is primarily designed to work with eSim, an open-source EDA tool developed by the FOSSEE group at IIT Bombay. It is especially useful for simulating complex mixed-signal designs such as ADCs, DACs, sensors with digital controllers, and embedded systems. NGHDL is developed and maintained by the FOSSEE (Free and Open Source Software for Education) project, IIT Bombay.
