Package: fam
Version: 2.7.0-10

Hello,
some days ago I tried to upgrade from Debian Sarge to Etch. This
upgrade was not fine, some packages failed to download and the system
ended in a 'half-upgrade' status.
In successive days, I was trying to complete this upgrade with 'apt-get
dist-upgrade' and using dselect, and I received a message saying that
fam was not properly configured and the configuration failed (sorry, I
don't remember the exact message).
Next I looked for more info around he web, I read the fam bug list, and
found that my problem was described in the report number 249131.
Following the hints in this report I executed '/etc/init.d/fam stop'
then I continued the upgrade, and fam was correctly installed and
configured.

So really my problem is related in the bug report 249131. This bug is
closed but I suffered it, that is the reason for this report.

Best regards,
    Francesc Fernandez
