The problem in that bug seems to be that the reporter was using packages from deb-multimedia.org, which are known to break apt's dependency resolution in ways that can break GTK.

I can't immediately tell from this bug report whether you are using deb-multimedia.org packages, but it seems plausible.

These two (at least) are not official Debian packages, which suggests that you might be using other third-party apt repositories such as deb-multimedia.org. Debian can only provide support for its own packages, and is not responsible for third-party apt repositories.
