Looks good to me. There are two measurable changes: 1. some files in /usr/share/doc get gzipped normally now 2. Depends: perl-base (>= 5.8.3-2) -> perl:any We don't do anything weird that'd require /usr/share/doc files to not be compressed. perl-base was Priority: essential, while perl is not, but this seems immaterial. I'll upload this unless someone has objections.
