Note that conceptionally/, any bgpd will realistically crash under some conditions, the way this is usally handled is by letting the supervision daemon (i.e. systemd) to restart it automatically (within certain limits).
In subsequent frr uploads, I'll make sure this is consistently the case (it hasn't in the past in at least some of the daemons, which is ok because you then notice errors immediately but also get service interruption - I lean towards automatic restarting and monitoring logs instead).
